Kids Eat Free on Halloween at Applebee’s in Flanders, New Jersey

MOUNT OLIVE, NEW JERSEY - This Halloween, Applebee’s, located at 50 International Drive South, Flanders, New Jersey is ‘treating’ all costumed kids to a free meal. Families who dine at Applebee’s in Mount Olive anytime on Saturday, October 31st will receive up to four free Kids’ Meals with each adult entrée purchase. The free meal is valid for children in costume, age 12 and under, on any Applebee’s “Kids’ Menu” entrée, dine-in only.

“Before your pirates and princesses start gobbling up mouthfuls of sweets, we’ll be happy to treat them to a nourishing meal,” said Nicole Huber, General Manager. “We’re looking forward to seeing the kids in costume and celebrating this neighborhood fun together.”

The Applebee’s "Kids’ Menu” features childhood favorites like: Chicken Tenders, Mini Cheeseburgers, Hot Dogs and Grilled Cheese Sandwiches, all served with a choice of healthy steamed broccoli, celery with ranch dressing, applesauce or French fries. And, they can even satisfy their Halloween sweet tooth by adding a delicious dessert like the Oreo® Cookie Shake or Oreo® Cookie Sundae.

Metro Grille: Morris County's Midtown Secret

MORRIS COUNTY, NEW JERSEY - Metro Grille is an upscale eclectic mix of modern international cuisine set in a sophisticated, sexy atmosphere.

We enjoyed the soft whimsical lighting that provided a pleasant splash of color to the modern dramatic brown and gold walls. Each table is separated by a thick maroon velvet drape that seemed to dampen and soften surrounding conversation and leave you with a feeling of semi-private comfortable dining.

We began with the rich robust full flavor Heirloom Tomato Soup. This traditional soup offered a delightful twist of two plum tomatoes and a fresh basil leaf presented on a skewer to be immersed in the thick luscious creation.

Served with a light slightly toasted three cheese french bread crisp, made for a very strong opening to an enjoyable meal.

We couldn't pass up the opportunity to try the Maryland Style Crab Cake appetizer. A truly elegant choice - the fresh,
all-natural blue crab arrived delicately placed atop a bed of shaved fennel that

provided a milky smooth complimentary burst of flavor.

This dish was accompanied by candied preserved lemon and grilled artichoke hearts showered in olive oil with a healthy sprinkle of freshly cracked pepper.

At this point our taste buds were all a flutter as we anticipated the arrival of several Maki sushi rolls. Metro's sushi chefs engineered discrete moments of pure elation that few, if any other local sushi restaurants can match.

A beautiful artistically crafted presentation with the perfect blend savory sauces.

If you still have room, you must try the Apple Walnut Gateau. This succulent desert speaks impressively for itself, but I'll give you my humble opinion.

A gorgeous presentation of a soft warm sponge cake topped with a thinly sliced green apple, a dollop of heavy whipped cream, and a sprig of fresh mint sits across from a splendid scoop of vanilla bean ice

cream gently nested on a cinnamon apple bed of pure delight.

Garnished with a grissini (thin breadstick) dipped in chocolate and sprinkled with powder sugar for a melt-in-your-mouth sinful finish to your dining experience.

What a find, a little slice of Midtown New York in Morris County, New Jersey.

We'll meet you at the Metro, it quickly became one of our hottest hot spots.
